Static Cupping

Static cupping involves placing the cup on an area and leaving it there for a while, allowing the vacuum to work at its own pace. It is a simple way to treat areas that feel tense, strained, or swollen. Suitable for both smaller and larger parts of the body.

Step-by-step guide

01 Gently place the cup against your skin. Squeeze the cup from both sides (or compress from above) and then slowly release to create a vacuum. Ensure the cup has full contact with the skin when attaching it.

02 Adjust the vacuum by squeezing more or releasing slightly.

03 Leave the cup on and let it work. For better adhesion: apply Curam's body oil before attaching the cup. You can also use the cups in the shower with shower gel.

04 To reduce the risk of marks: do not leave the cup on for too long and avoid "maximizing" the suction.

05 Recommended use: 2–3 times a week, maximum 20 minutes per area.

06 Curam's cups can be used both before and after exercise.

Dynamic Cupping

Dynamic cupping involves moving the cup smoothly and controlled over the skin. This method creates movement in the tissue and stimulates blood circulation and lymphatic flow. It can be used for both larger areas and more precise sections.

With the Curam Dynamic Massage Cup, you can effectively work on larger areas such as legs, back, and glutes. It provides a stronger suction and can be intense – especially if the tissue is very tense or if you are new to cupping. The dynamic mini cup is suitable for smaller and more precise areas, but can also be a better choice for larger areas if the larger cup feels too harsh or difficult to handle. It requires less hand strength and offers more control in movement.

Step-by-step guide

01 Apply Curam body oil to the skin to create glide and reduce friction.

02
Gently place the cup against the skin, press it together from the sides at its widest part, and slowly release to create a vacuum. Ensure the rim is in contact with the skin to prevent air from entering.

03
Move the cup slowly over the skin. Use sweeping motions upwards/downwards, in a zigzag pattern, or in circles.

04 Adjust the vacuum by pressing the cup more or releasing it slightly.

05 Recommended use: 2–3 times a week, 2–5 slow strokes per area. Gradually increase if needed and allow your body to adjust.

06
Curam cups can be used both before and after exercise.

Facial cupping

Facial cupping is a gentle method for addressing puffiness, tension, and skin circulation in the face, neck, and décolletage. When used on the face, the cup should always be moving – never let it stand still.

Step-by-step guide

01 Apply Curam's facial and massage oil to cleansed skin so that the cup glides easily and to reduce friction.

02 Start by supporting lymphatic flow at the collarbones by pumping with the facial cup a couple of times (see instructions for lymphatic drainage).

03 Gently attach the cup over the area you want to treat. Squeeze the cup from the sides, slowly release, and ensure that the bottom has full contact with the skin. For smaller and more sensitive areas: use the mini cup.

04 Work with slow, sweeping movements outwards and upwards, or use a pumping technique. Move the cup constantly to avoid marks. Work one side at a time. Finish with lymphatic drainage from the hairline down towards the collarbones (see instructions for lymphatic drainage).

05 Reapply Curam's facial and massage oil if needed.

06 Recommended use: 1–3 strokes per area, approximately 3 times a week. If you have sensitive, thin, or mature skin: start with a very gentle stroke per area and gradually increase.

07 Do not use on fresh scars, sun-damaged, or damaged skin. Cupping should not be done directly over recently injected Botox or fillers.
