Curam Team

Marie Jansson

Founder & CEO

Marie founded Curam based on her own experience of how small, simple things – done regularly – can make a big difference in the body. After several years of professional cupping, she began to incorporate the method into her own daily life and clearly noticed how it affected her recovery, energy, and well-being. The idea was to make cupping more accessible in modern life. Simple tools that are easy to use and can become a natural part of everyday life – after training, during the workday, or as a moment for oneself.

Curam was created to make recovery more accessible and sustainable. A way to take care of the body, where simplicity is enough – and where self-care becomes a natural part of life.

Kristin Skovsgaard

Community & Training Manager, Curam Recovery®

Kristin has over 20 years of experience in fitness, health, and group exercise. With a background in sports science and nutrition, she has built her work around creating meaningful movement experiences and educating instructors worldwide.

What drives her is the power of moving together – creating environments where people feel safe, inspired, and can build sustainable habits over time.

When she discovered Curam, she saw the potential in combining simple tools with a deep physical experience. Today, she leads training courses in Curam Recovery® and works closely with partners and the community to develop and spread Curam's methods.

Sara Utberg

Training Manager, Curam Somatic®

Sara works at the intersection of movement, body awareness, and creative expression. With a background in yoga, energy work, and facilitation, she creates experiences that invite a deeper connection with the body.

At Curam, she is responsible for training in Curam Somatic®, leads classes and events, develops concepts and treatments, and creates content for our social media channels.

Her approach is intuitive yet clear, guiding participants to explore how the inner self takes shape through movement, breath, and presence.

Isabel dos Santos

Training & Concept Developer

Isabella was a pioneer in developing spa concepts and treatments worldwide – from the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm to the Four Seasons in Istanbul and One&Only in Mexico. Her work was based on a deep understanding of the body, where traditional methods met modern approaches.

She discovered cupping early on and naturally integrated it into both treatments and training. Together with Curam's founder Marie, she helped create Curam Recovery® and laid the foundation for the brand's class concepts, rituals, and methodology.

Isabella passed away in June 2024, but her work lives on in Curam. Her knowledge, presence, and perspective on the body continue to shape everything we do.

Louise Forsby

Communication Manager

Louise works with marketing at Curam and helps shape content and communication that feels inspiring, close, and rooted in the brand.

Her first encounter with Curam was at a fitness convention, where she participated in a Curam Recovery® class out of pure curiosity – and went home with her first cups. A few months later, she became part of the team.

Today, the cups are a natural part of her daily life – from recovery between workouts to facial cupping and moments of self-care.

Annica has completed the Curam Recovery training and PT cupping professional and uses the cups on her PT clients as well as in her own training/recovery continuously. Today, Annica is part of Curam's team as Community Manager and is there to help people experience Curam's products, purpose, and values in the best possible way, as well as to communicate and strengthen the brand among people through customer service, online workshops, events, and support.
