Cupping Program for Swimmers

Pre-Swim Activate

This session is perfect before a swim workout! Use it as a warm-up to prepare your body by reducing tension and increasing blood circulation. It can give you a sensation of smoother swimming, enhanced strength, and better muscle connection in the water.

Not a swimmer? This session is also ideal for warming up and increasing flow in the upper body before any workout!

Use Dynamic Mini & Static Cups + Curam Body & Massage Oil

Cup the shoulders
  • Start by placing the static cups on the back of the shoulders near the shoulder blades. Leave them in place while completing the following steps.
  • Apply the oil on the shoulder and arm.
  • Attach the dynamic mini cup to the front of the shoulder. Slowly glide the cup over the shoulder. Let the cup release and repeat the movement a few times, or move it back and forth. Repeat 4–5 times. Then switch to the other shoulder.
Cup the chest
  • Remove the static cups from the shoulder blades and place them on the front of the chest, up toward the shoulder and collarbone, in the middle of the pectoral muscle. Leave them in place while completing the next steps.
Cup the back
  • Apply the oil along the side of the chest under the arm, targeting the latissimus dorsi (large back muscle).
  • Attach the dynamic mini cup to the back near the armpit (on the latissimus dorsi) and slowly glide the cup downward along the chest toward the front, following the side of the body. Let the cup release and repeat the movement a few times, or move it back and forth. Repeat 4–5 times. Then switch to the other side.

This session provides soothing recovery after an intense swim workout and helps maintain a healthy, sustainable training routine in the water. It’s an excellent way to unwind and accelerate recovery by promoting the removal of lactic acid and waste products, enhancing lymphatic flow. This supports endurance, reduces muscle soreness and stiffness, and leaves you feeling relaxed and ready for your next swim session in no time. The session concludes with about 10 deep breaths to calm the nervous system.

Cup the back
  • Start by placing the static cups on your lower back at the lumbar region. Leave them in place while completing the following steps.
  • Apply the oil across the chest, down the sides of the body, shoulders, and arms.
Cup the chest
  • Attach the dynamic mini cup to the front of the chest. Slowly glide the cup outward toward the shoulder, over the shoulder, and down toward the elbow. Let the cup release and repeat the movement a few times, or move it back and forth. Repeat 4–5 times. Then switch to the other side.
Cup the shoulders
  • Remove the static cups from the lumbar region and place them on the back of the shoulders near the shoulder blades. Bring your hands in front of your face and inhale the aroma of the oil, taking three deep breaths. Then let your arms rest alongside your body and take five deep breaths through your nose.
